Computer Science Is King of Stanford for First Time in Its History

Stanford President John Hennessy tells the Wall Street Journal that computer science "became the largest major in the university for the first time ever," and the number of students pursuing these coveted degrees is "considerably higher than traditionally they have been, by 50%." Then, with something crossing pride and concern, Hennessy adds that "there's no doubt that the number of students going to humanities is at an all-time low."
