Probably avoidance of loss. Many VCs will prop up deals hoping they can find an exit.
yah, trying to give them a little more run way to get an acquisition deal going cuz there's a snow ball's chance in hell that 4sq will ever become profitable.
They could pivot it into some sort of bitcoin game and sell it to the Chinese.
yeah, that's a great idea actually. seems like adding bitcoin to pretty much anything (even bad ideas) will get you tons of press and VC cash. even better, if they can pivot to make Foursquare the Uber for Location Services (that accepts Bitcoins) and I bet they'll get the billion dollar valuation next week.
