Outside of Google I/O yesterday morning, San Francisco's usual squad of anti-tech protesters assembled to air their usual list of grievances against the Valley giant. They may have traded their clown costumes for Star Wars outfits, but the rallying calls were all the same: no more evictions, Google's buses are hurting Muni, and the company perpetuates inequality.

Google's annual developer conference, Google I/O, kicked off this morning in San Francisco, and the drooling tech press pool was found sprinting in the doors like it was Black Friday at Walmart.

Google has a diversity problem. The company recently gave in to demands for transparency, revealing that only 30 percent of its staff are women. Now the tech giant has meritocratic pricing plan to encourage more women to attend their banner Google I/O conference.
