The recruiting funnel from the Ivy League to Goldman Sachs has been short on engineers ever since Silicon Valley decided to exploit Wall Street's moral failings to fill their tech campuses. But according to Dealbook, the vampiric cephalopod is biting back with a "new, hipper website" and a bunch of buzzwords.

Twitter just can't get it together. Their corporate vision is blurred, executives are fleeing, and when the company spent an entire day trying to impress Wall Street investors, they botched it by opening a garbage bag of a "strategy statement." Now concerns over the company's future has led Standard and Poor's to rate Twitter's debt as "junk."

PSA: On today's earnings call Twitter CEO Dick Costolo was saying "eccentric circles" of users, not "concentric circles." Either way, Twitter's stock is down despite meeting expectations. If only Wall Street cared as much about circles as it does about MAUs.

Tech stocks look like a Taylor Swift concert right now. Apple, Amazon, Facebook, Yahoo, Groupon, and King (the makers of Candy Crush) were all in the red this morning. Twitter continues to hit record lows after insiders were finally allowed to cash out. Yesterday 134 million shares were traded, more than seven times the normal volume.

This week, a number of Twitter users reported a strange phenomenon. The alarm bell icon on the notifications tab displayed a number for favorites, follows, and retweets when there was nothing new to report.

Twitter is not a profitable company. Maybe it's on its way to becoming one, or will be someday, but the company's most current numbers show it taking a loss. But as the New York Times makes clear, plenty of myopic, gung-ho investors are trading Twitter like it's Exxon.

When last we saw Stanley Druckenmiller, he was predicting the next financial implosion. But the Wall Street winner and GOP-supporter must think America will be around for at least another couple years, because he's joining the FWD.us party.
