YouTube Cofounder Leaves First Comment in 8 Years Clowning Google+
Jawed Karim—the boring YouTube cofounder, not the one being sued by Kanye West—just left his first video comment in eight years. The one-liner takes a knock at Google, the company that earned Karim $64 million and the chance to literally live next door to Mark Zuckerberg.
Karim once cancelled a talk at Stanford in the middle of YouTube/Google acquisition deal because he thought it would incite a "massive media stampede." And he's maintained a low profile since then. But apparently, YouTube's incredibly aggressive new comment rollout, which requires users to sign up for Google+ in order to comment was enough to inspire a public utterance:
why the fuck do i need a google+ account to comment on a video?
Forgotten YouTube cofounders—they're just as annoyed as us!
