Newly filed court documents show Jennifer Allen won't recant: her attorneys say she's sticking with her story, and are prepared to fight back in an impending libel case from TechCrunch founder and VC powerhouse Mike Arrington.

In the answer, in full below, Allen's attorneys deny point by point the following counteraccusations from Arrington:

  • Allen "undertook to smear" Arrington "on the internet, to destroy his reputation, and to deter third persons from associating with him," all because she felt "betrayed and slighted."
  • Allen cost Arrington over $75,000 in damages.
  • Allen made her rape allegations with the intent to defame Arrington.
  • Allen's rape claims place Arrington in a "false light" with the public.

Allen's attorneys affirm that she refused to retract her accusations, believes everything she's said about Arrington—that he raped her, impregnated her, threatened her, etc.—with one interesting exception. Allen specifically "denies for lack of knowledge" a Facebook comment posted from her account that went into great detail about her history with Arrington:

There’s no other explanation given. It’s a big gap in her story, how one, very detailed rape claim would somehow be removed from the rest—and it’ll surely come up as the case moves forward.

Allen’s attorney, Justo Gonzalez, declined to comment beyond the contents of the document.
