Instagram Video Just Exposed The Terrible Side of Twitter

What's your poison, Valleywag asked a Silicon Valley startup founder last night, Instagram's new Cinema feature or Vine? "Instagram for sure," he shot back. "Easier network effect. Faster gratification. Polished product and more expressive. Twitter has always had this problem with every product."

The ascendance of video over photo won't mean fewer gratuitous selfies. Now, they just come with a soundtrack. In the case of TechCrunch co-editor Alexia Tsotsis: some heart-breaking Daft Punk.

One of life's grand injustices is that it's very hard to come up with an idea that's both original and good. Even harder to make money from it! If you bought a $60,000+ Tesla Model S between May 10th and June 8th, read this: Tesla CEO Elon Musk says these cars might have a defect that "reduces our confidence that the left hand seat back will be properly retained in the event of a crash." Eep.
