And the apology automatically removed itself from the internet in three minutes. (Except not really!)

I'm amused by the fact that the apology is there and all but otherwise it still seems like a sort of unremarkable deal. The tone feels like "okay, yeah, we added this feature to help with privacy...
...sort of because there was this eensy little mistake"
