Now that former Facebook president Sean Parker has his billions from Silicon Valley, he's tackling DC next, funneling cash to politicians that specialize in "compromise." And in Parker's mind, those who compromise happen to be Republicans.

What do you get when you cross a lightly-used copy of Atlas Shrugged and a hackathon? Lincoln Labs, a Bay Area group determined to "iterate our way to success" and "advance liberty in the public square with the use of technology."

Just kidding, this letter-writing campaign probably won't accomplish very much. But it'll make FWD.us feel like it's more than a cynical lobbying machine.

Yesterday, the Council for American Job Growth, the left-leaning arm of FWD.us, released an ad attacking House Republicans for blocking immigration reform. According to TechCrunch, the Council will spend $500,000 to run the ad in all 50 states.

Remember when Mark Zuckerberg and his friends made a baby, and sent it on a cross-country bus trip to DC? FWD.us was supposed to be a new force in Washington, using new tech smarts to solve old policy impasses. Of course, that was bullshit, but here's a semi-exploitative hackathon, just for fun.

Mark Zuckerberg's pet lobbying group has a new CTO, Darius Contractor. Like any friend of Zuck's, Darius has an extensive back catalog of Facebook tags, including one in which he's dressed as an American Indian, standing before a "God Bless America" banner in front of a door on which a border crossing warning sign hangs. Immigration reform was a natural next step.

FWD.us, the Facebook-backed lobbying group, is no stranger to unlikely political alliances—in fact, it's reached so far into Washington's conservative corners, some prominent members jumped ship. Teaming up with religious bigots probably won't help.

FWD.us, Mark Zuckerberg's self-serving non-profit, which has already recruited a hedge fund honcho and "a diverse group" of tech billionaires to its cause, picked up five more "major contributors" to immigration reform today, including AOL CEO Tim Armstrong and Shutterstock CEO Jon Oringer, whose IPO made him "Silicon Alley's first billionaire."

A familiar sheen of sweat coated Mark Zuckerberg's forehead yesterday when James Bennet, editor-in-chief of the Atlantic, asked the CEO of Facebook to place himself on the political spectrum. "Liberal conservative, Libertarian, Democrat, Republican, or something else?" asked Bennet.

Y Combinator founder Paul Graham is listed as a "major contributor" to FWD.us, Mark Zuckerberg's powerful lobbying firm whose primary focus has been immigration reform. But just because Graham wants to bring foreign workers to the U.S., doesn't mean he'd let them into his fabled Silicon Valley accelerator.

You know the story: Mark Zuckerberg and his (largely liberal) friends want to hire more foreign engineers, so they're pushing for an immigration bill that needs strong conservative support. They've had to play dirty—and their latest TV ad is maybe the silliest sellout yet.

When last we saw Stanley Druckenmiller, he was predicting the next financial implosion. But the Wall Street winner and GOP-supporter must think America will be around for at least another couple years, because he's joining the FWD.us party.

Congratulations, Zuck & Co. The Senate just approved a massive immigration bill 68-32. That will help tech companies hire more highly-skilled labor at cheaper wages. And all FWD.us had to do was praise oil drilling in the Arctic and grease GOP wheels to get it passed.

Just in regarding that fat immigration reform bill: a preliminary vote in the Senate shows "15 Republicans backing the measure and no Democrats opposing it," a sign of "growing momentum" in DC, says the WSJ. Zuck (and friends), looks like you did it.

A small-ish (so far) group from San Francisco environmentalism cabal 350 Bay Area just arrived outside the Westin San Francisco Airport Hotel. Inside, Zuck and anxious Facebook investors talk shop. Outside, the 350 crew decries the shady lobbying tactics of FWD.us.

Elon Musk had enough of FWD.us and its political doublespeak, but that doesn't mean the PAC is going down. To the contrary, AllThingsD reports it just recruited new media mogul Barry Diller and YouTube co-founder/Delicious ruiner Steven Chen. As long as Zuck can rally more money than he alienates, he should be OK!

The NASDAQ Prince is making it clear he'll do whatever it takes to push through his version of immigration reform: Zuck's FWD.us lobbying giant is now bankrolling ads on the Rush Limbaugh show.

Space-privatizer and car-electrifier Elon Musk is still one of the precious few (openly) honest people in the tech immigration debate right now: he minced zero words to AllThingsD about ditching Zuckerberg & Co. over their political machinations.

FWD.us is playing an old Washington game: hit both sides of the aisle to get what you want. In this case, it's buying ads for right-wing candidates who happen to also support "immigration reform" of some kind. Billionaire investor Elon Musk has had enough.

John Doerr is a White House advisor, prominent billionaire, and Silicon Valley household name—at least among yuppie Valley households who care. Six years ago, he famously stepped back and forth across a TED Talk stage cheerleading "green tech," warning of global environmental disaster, and breaking into tears at the prospect. Today, he's bankrolling Mark Zuckerberg's dirty fuel campaign. What the hell happened?
