Last week, we reported that TechCrunch founder Michael Arrington would skip his Disrupt conference for the first time ever. We were wrong: Yesterday, he showed up on stage. It seems that whatever hiccups were getting in the way of his making an appearance have been resolved. One of those hiccups: Our own Adrian Chen.

According to a source close to Arrington and TechCrunch, he agreed to come only if Chen didn't. "You got pushed out because they wanted Mike to feel comfortable here, and they were sure you'd start [trouble]. Whatever that means," I was told via IM. "Adrian [Chen] definitely. They're checking IDs. The guards have your pictures."

Yikes. I can only hope this is the photo of Adrian TechCrunch's guards have on file.
